The main differences between the two sides are taxes and edible regulations. Medical sales are taxed at the regular state sales tax while recreational shoppers must pay a 22% tax on their purchase. Recreational edibles are capped at 100mg of THC per unit, and must be divided into 10mg serving sizes. Medical edibles don’t have these dosing requirements — we have 500mg chocolate bars!

If you’re from out of state, you can purchase up to seven grams (a quarter ounce) per transaction.
If you’re a Colorado resident with a Colorado ID, you can purchase up to 28 grams (one ounce).

You can carry up to one ounce at a time.

The State of Colorado recommends 10mg of THC as one dose. All recreational edibles, by law, are dosed in clearly marked 10mg or lower serving sizes. Start with one. You can eat more, but you can’t eat less.

Indicas are generally more mellow and relaxing and often offer the most medicinal qualities. They make you feel “stoned.”
Sativas are generally more uplifiting and cerebral and make you feel “high.”
Some people like the saying “indica in the couch, sativa clean the house.” Don’t let this sway you though, if it looks good and smells good, it’s going to be good.

Concentrates are produced by blasting cannabis – either trim, full flower, or whole plant, with a solvent such as butane or CO2. This extracts the cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant, resulting in a waxy, oily, or glassy product. Concentrates, as their name implies, are very concentrated, ranging anywhere from 60% THCa to over 80% THCa. People like concentrates for their strength and flavor.

THCa is the unactivated form of THC, meaning your body can’t process it and you can’t get high. When you smoke or vaporize cannabis, the THCa converts to THC so you can get high.

It is still illegal to smoke in public. Cannabis must consumed be on private property.

No. If there is any THC in the product, it is illegal to remove from the State of Colorado.
